Too Darn Hot
Too Darn Hot — популярная композиция сороковых-пятидесятых годов, которая в переводе на русский язык звучит, как «Чертовски жарко». Она была написана в 1948 году Коулом Портером (Cole Porter) специально для мюзикла „Kiss Me, Kate“.
Мюзикл имел бешенный успех и стал наиболее успешным шоу Портера. Это был первый мюзикл, где музыка и лирика были написаны специально для сценария и являлись его неотделимой частью. В этом и был секрет успеха!
„Kiss Me, Kate“ был показан более тысячи раз на сцене Бродвея, а также четыре сотни раз на различных сценах Лондона. В 1949 году Коул Портер был награжден престижной премией Tony Award за лучший мюзикл (первая полученная в этой категории премия), а также как лучший композитор и лирик.
Ann Miller — Too Darn Hot
